Celebrating Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana’ole

Hawaii’s last reigning Prince and celebrator of tradition Hawaiian arts. The People’s Prince, a man of commendable sincerity and strong convictions who always stood for what was right, not yielding to weakness.
8:50am Opening Protocol
9am-2pm Craft Fair – visit with cultural practitioners to learn more about Hawaii Culture Art practices.
9am-2pm Konane with Uncle John – Learn a Hawaiian game of strategy.
9am-12pm Coconut Weaving Demonstration
9am-2pm Lei Hulu Demonstration – Royal Hawaiians adorned themselves with hulu-feathers of exotic native birds. Come and “talk story” with ‘Anake Robin to learn more about this rare, 1500 year old traditional art.
10am-1:30pm Live Hawaiian Music
