Mastering Marmalade

Join Master Preserver and Monkeypod Jam Founder, Aletha Thomas for an afternoon of preserving Kauai’s Winter Citrus. We will run through the steps required to make perfectly balanced and set marmalades using the island’s lemons, limes, and oranges. Home Canning safety will also be the focus of the afternoon.

All the needed ingredients, recipes, and tools will be prepared so we may dive into the preserving process. At the end of class, guests will depart with two jars of class-made marmalade and a full understanding of how to create more at home.

Light pupus will be served.

Age Requirement: 16 years or older (Youth ages 16-17 must be accompanied by a registered adult)
