Introduction to Shibori Dyeing with Debbie Maddy

Debbie Maddy of Tiori Designs will be back in March and April 2025 for an amazing three weeks of traditional Japanese Shibori Dyeing.  Learn marking, stitching, tying, scrunching and folding techniques to make some amazing hand dyed fabrics.

Class will be held at the Kauai Society of Artists location, 2600 Kaumualii Hwy, Kukui Grove Center, Lihue.

Additional materials fee of $35 to be paid directly to instructors which includes 1 – 14” x 72” silk scarf for dying. Additional fabrics for dying will be available in March at Vicky’s Fabrics and at the venue.  Individual pieces for dying should be no larger than 36” x 45”.  Depending on technique and time, students will be able to dye 3-4 pieces over the course of the workshop.
