E Kanikapila Kākou 2024: Week 3 – “Favorite Hula Songs” – Community Hula Night

E Kanikapila Kākou 2024 invites you to a season of exploring and understanding the relationship between the songs and dances of Hawai’i and the life and times of its people as reflected in the Significant Songs of Hawai’i.

Malie Foundation again shares “Community Hula Night”, one of the most popular evenings in EKK. Four amazing kumu hula, Kumu Hula Hinano Lazaro; Puni Patrick Waiale’ale; La’amea Almeida; and Sabra Kauka, will lead their individual participant group to learn a favorite hula number during the first hour. Each haumana group will share the hula they learned during the main program. Hula jam continues all evening as audience gets up to dance their favorite hula numbers.

‘Ukulele circle starts at 5:15 pm; the main program begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. General admission $20 // Kama’aina $10 // Keiki 12 years and under are free. Tickets are available online a http://ekk2024.eventbrite.com and will also be available at the door.

No-host bar and food concession will be provided by Kaua’i Beach Resort.
