E Kanikapila Kākou 2024: Week 1 – “Kinolau in Song: A Celebration of Nature in Hawaiian Poetry” Makana; Keale & Chris Lau

E Kanikapila Kakou 2024 invites you to a season of exploring and understanding the relationship between the songs and dances of Hawai’i and the life and times of its people as reflected in the Significant Songs of Hawai’i.

Makana will share “Kinolau in Song: A Celebration of Nature in Hawaiian Poetry” in his inimitable style. He will be joined by Keale and Chris Lau as they give an overview of the weekly themes explored by artists in this 2024 season.

Starting at 5:15 pm, early arrivals can enjoy the ‘ukulele circle taught by Keale and Chris.  The main program begins at 6:00 pm.  General admission $20 // Kama’aina $10 // Keiki 12 years and under are free. Tickets are available online at http://ekk2024.eventbrite.com and will also be available at the door.

No-host bar and food concession will be provided by Kaua’i Beach Resort.
