Aloha Safety: Protecting our Kupuna from Falls

The Alzheimer’s Association, in collaboration with AARP-Hawaii, welcomes Cindy Fowler, Kauai Regional Coordinator and Christine Castillo and Samantha Wong with the Kauai Agency on Elderly Affairs Fall Prevention Program for the monthly Listen and Learn Lecture series on Kauai. The lecture on fall prevention for people with dementia will cover practical strategies, including environmental modifications and exercises, to reduce fall risk. It will feature demonstrations and provide an overview of the County of Kauai’s fall prevention program, highlighting community resources and support services. Designed for the general public, this free session aims to empower individuals to minimize their risk for falls as well, learn fall recovery techniques, and discover local available resources.
