Caregiving is one of the most meaningful — and challenging — roles a person can take on. That’s why the Alzheimer’s Association is proud to partner with the Kauaʻi Agency on Elderly Affairs to present the Ola Nā Lima Mālama: Hawaiʻi Caregiver Conference on Saturday, March 28 at the Fine Arts Center at Kauaʻi Community College.
This free, one-day educational conference is designed to uplift and empower family caregivers and community members across Kauaʻi. Attendees will gain practical tools, new perspectives, and meaningful connections to support their caregiving journey.
We are especially honored to welcome nationally recognized dementia educator Adria Thompson, who will lead three powerful sessions:
• Great Expectations in Dementia Care
• Through Their Eyes: Understanding Resistance
• Making Care Make Sense: A Practical Guide
The day will also include:
🧠 A local Brain Health Update highlighting research-backed habits that help protect cognitive health at every age
🧠 An interactive Brain Fitness session
🎶 Live entertainment during lunch
❓ Extended Q&A time for caregivers to ask real-world questions
Mahalo to the Grove Farm Foundation for generously sponsoring lunch for pre-registered attendees.
Whether you are currently caring for a loved one, anticipate becoming a caregiver in the future, or work in a field that supports older adults, this conference offers valuable education and community connection.
