1st Annual Garden Island Compost Forum
Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 at 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Free
Join us for the First Annual Garden Island Compost Forum, where we’ll learn how to compost at home, explore island-wide solutions, and connect with local experts shaping a more sustainable future.

A free virtual community event.
Composting is one of the simplest — and most powerful — ways we can turn food scraps into a local resource. It builds soil, supports farmers, and helps keep methane-producing organics out of our already overflowing Kekaha Landfill.
Hear from local experts including: Councilmember Fern Anuenue Holland, Jesse Brown-Clay (Compost Kauaʻi), Sari Pastore (Understory Alliance) and Andy Boyd (County of Kauaʻi Recycling Coordinator). The event will feature short presentations, Q&A, and open discussion.
