E Kanikapila Kakou 2024 invites you to a season of exploring and understanding the relationship between the songs and dances of Hawai’i and the life and times of its people as reflected in the Significant Songs of Hawai’i.
Keiki o ka ʻāina from Anahola, Kainani Kahaunaele has blossomed into one of Hawaiʻiʻs premier singer-songwriter-musician-teacher of Hawaiian music and winner of numerous Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, most recently the Female Vocalist of the Year.
Through education and performance she has been nurturing young students to develop their own musical talents.16-year-old Kaniaulono Hapai on guitar and Emma Coloma on bass will accompany their mentor to share an evening of songs that speak about the lifestyles in Hawaiʻi as well as Kainaniʻs extraordinary compositions.
No-host bar and food concession will be provided by Kauaʻi Beach Resort.
