E Kanikapila Kakou 2024 invites you to a season of exploring and understanding the relationship between the songs and dances of Hawaii and the life and times of its people as reflected in theSignificant Songs of Hawaii. Kenneth Makuakane, prolific composer of over 2,000 songs, winner of 24 Na Höku Hanohano Awards, awardee of HARA “Lifetime
Achievement Award”, 12th pastor of the Kawaiaha’o Church, and recipient of the ‘O’ Award from the Native Hawalian Chamber of Commerce, will be joined by Alden Kaiaokamalie for an evening of explorations into Iconic Spiritual and life-changing songs.
Composer, recording artist, performer, arranger, engineer and producer, he blew away participants in GIAC’s Koke’ Songwriters Camps by his musical acumen and ability to inspire young songwriters in their quest to write songs.
No-host bar and food concession will be provided by Kauai Beach Resort.
