SUMMARY:Anuhea
DESCRIPTION:Anuhea – Tickets here!\nwith special guest Chad Pa \nShow Date\nSaturday\, August 2\, 2025 \nAnuhea\nAnuhea embodies the perfect blend of talent\, determination\, passion\, and Hawaiian sunshine. A singer-songwriter from Maui\, she has over 15 years of experience in the music industry\, carving out a unique space for herself by combining everything from island reggae\, acoustic soul\, pop\, and even hip-hop into a sound that is honest\, emotional\, and unmistakably her own. \nHer catalogue of self-written songs has garnered multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards\, including Female Vocalist of the Year in 2019\, and she has been featured on both Grammy-nominated and Grammy-winning albums. However\, referring to her solely as a musician does not capture her full range of talents. Anuhea is also an actor\, graphic designer\, creative director\, merch maker\, tour planner\, website builder\, content creator\, and a full-time mom. From album covers and logos to tour posters and social media visuals\, if you see something with her name on it\, there’s a good chance she created it herself. \nHer latest album\, “Lotus” commemorates 15 years since her debut and reflects the growth\, strength\, and self-discovery that come from forging one’s own path through all of life’s seasons. Anuhea skillfully balances her full-time music career with raising her son\, Ikena Jack\, who began touring with her even before he was born. Additionally\, she gives back to the community through her mental health podcast “Just Keep Jamming”\, her work with local non-profits and mentorship programs\, and her Aloha Always Foundation provides scholarships for Hawai’i students. \nWhether performing on a festival stage or jamming with keiki in a school gym\, Anuhea infuses humility\, humor\, and heart into everything she does. She is not just Hawai‘i’s sweetheart; she is a one-woman creative force with a voice\, a vision\, and a supportive community behind her. \n\n\n\nWhat’s included\n\nThis is GA standing room show. We will have some seating sections set up throughout the venue available on a first come first serve basis. \nWe will have some covered raised tables available around the perimeter of the lawned area. \n\n\n\nItinerary\n\n5:30 PM Doors Open\n6:30 PM Chad Pa\n7:30 PM Anuhea \n\n\n\nHighlights\n\nThis show is part of Anaina Hou Community Park’s “Concerts with a Cause” Series.

SUMMARY:Talib Kweli Live in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 16th | The Loading Dock at Common Ground\, Kauaʻi\nGates Open at 4:30 PM | All Ages | $45 \nHip hop takes center stage on Kauaʻi as iconic lyricist Talib Kweli performs live at the Loading Dock at Common Ground — an open-air venue that blends island vibes with urban soul. \nJoin us for an unforgettable night of live music and hip hop beats — from Talib’s legendary lyricism to local DJs and opening acts repping the islands. \nThe Brooklyn-based MC earned his stripes as one of the most lyrically-gifted\, socially aware and politically insightful rappers to emerge in the last 20 years “I’m a touring artist. I’m an artist that’s internationally known. I’m not just a local artist at this point in my career. I’m cognizant of the fact that what I do is beyond where it started. I’m trying to reach the apex of where I am now\, but without turning my back on or dismissing what I’ve done before.” After nearly 20 years of releasing mesmerizing music\, Talib Kweli stands as one of the world’s most talented and most accomplished Hip Hop artists. Whether working with Mos Def as one-half of Black Star\, partnering with producer Hi-Tek for Reflection Eternal\, releasing landmark solo material or collaborating with Kanye West\, Pharrell Williams\, Just Blaze\, J Dilla\, or Madlib\, Kweli commands attention by delivering top-tier lyricism\, crafting captivating stories and showing the ability to rhyme over virtually any type of instrumental. \nIn 2011\, Kweli founded Javotti Media\, which is self-defined as “a platform for independent thinkers and doers.” Kweli has set out to make Javotti Media (which released his 2011 album\, Gutter Rainbows\, and is named after his paternal grandmother) into a media powerhouse that releases music\, films and books.

The music starts at 3pm with the jazz sounds of the Dminor quartet.  Then the Aunties of Tropical Groove return again this year with their Hawaiian sounds and a Hula lesson. Next\, Cosa Bossa brings their infectious Latin sounds with Bel Heredia on the vocals. After that\, longtime local favorites\, Vic and the Victimz\, jam their blues and rock dance music. Wrapping up the evening is us\, Da Funk! with our Soul\, Funk and Disco dance music. So come help feed Kauai and our community\, and enjoy yourself while helping out.
