DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Kaua’i Quilt Show and Boutique is a FREE event that runs from February 13th through February 25 and is open daily from 10AM to 5PM.  It is located in the Kaua’i Society of Artists Gallery (in the centre of the mall behind Long’s Drugs and the Keiki Play Area) of the Kukui Grove Shopping Center in Lihue. \nThere will be a Meet the Quilters Reception on Friday the 13th from 5-7 PM.  Come meet the quilters\, talk story\, learn about quilt making and enjoy light pupu. \nSponsored by the Kaua’i Quilt Guild\, Nene Quilters\, Discount Fabric Warehouse and Vicky’s Fabrics\, this year’s event is our 21st Annual Quilt Show. \nThere will be •  Designated donation quilts for sale with 100% of the proceeds to go to a Kaua’i non-profit of the buyers choice. •  Over 70 quilts made by Kaua’i residents on display\, many for sale  •. SUMMARY:Princeville Moʻolelo: “Send in the Dogs: How Our Faithful Companions Are Helping Save Niu and More.” with Conservation Dogs Hawaiʻi
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Kauaʻi Wildlife Refuges Princeville Moʻolelo free lecture series will continue on Tuesday\, February 17th as we learn how our canine friends are helping in the fight against CRB. Kaua’i is turning to what might seem an unusual response to slowing the invasion of Coconut Rhinoceros Beetles: Dogs! In this presentation\, K9 handlers from Conservation Dogs Hawaiʻi will share why dogs are adept at sniffing out CRB breeding sites and how they go about doing it. The newly certified volunteer K9 teams are now accepting CRB survey requests from residents\, businesses\, and property managers who are concerned about suspected CRB breeding activity on their properties. If you’re concerned about CRB on your property\, this may be for you. \nFree Lecture Series: Tuesday\, February 17\, 2026\, 5:00 to 6:30pm in the Princeville Community Center. The presentation will also be available via Zoom.
