A mix of Māori\, folk\, acoustic and soul\, her musical palette is vibrant with elements of roots and deep culture. \nHer original songs have become emotional and cultural touchstones in her native New Zealand\, yet their universal themes and emotions grown of hardship\, happiness\, sorrow\, and love resonate deeply with international audiences. Her honey-smooth vocals unflinchingly take on such issues as domestic violence\, Māori displacement\, at-risk youth\, the environment\, and social justice\, as well as warmly embrace life’s joys — family\, children\, home. \nMaisey Rika\nHailing from Aotearoa/New Zealand\, this\nsinger/songwriter has a powerful\, majestic voice that\ncaptivates audiences worldwide. Maisey began singing professionally at 13 years old. Her first recordings brought her to national stardom with E Hine\, a classic collection of Māori traditional songs\, that went double platinum and won “Best Māori Language Album” at the New Zealand Music Awards. We have some scattered raised seating around the perimeter of the lawn available on a first come first serve basis. DESCRIPTION:The 38th Annual Emalani Festival takes place on Saturday\, November 7\, 2026\, in Kōke‘e\, Kaua‘i\, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. \nTents featuring lei-making\, exhibits\, and food will surround the performance and seating area\, creating an immersive cultural experience. Hawaiian music begins at 9:00 AM\, setting the stage for the day’s festivities. \nAt the heart of the festival is the arrival of Queen Emma\, her attendant\, and her guide\, Kaluahi\, on horseback at 10:00 AM. Protocol ceremonies will pay homage to the Queen\, with performances dedicated to her throughout the day. In a special moment\, the Queen may offer a dance of her own. Sponsors and guests are invited to witness this historical event\, authentic Hawaiian protocol\, and genuine Hawaiian cuisine. \nThe event remains free to attend\, but VIP packages will be available on the Eō e Emalani website https://www.eventeny.com/events/ticket/?id=23479.
