DESCRIPTION:Join us in learning the mindful art of making songpyeon from scratch\, a delicious traditional Korean rice cake with a modern touch. This workshop is hands-on\, beginner-friendly\, and fun! \nSongpyeon is a traditional dessert enjoyed during Chuseok\, Korea’s mid-autumn harvest festival. Families gather to make songpyeons as a communal activity rooted in Korean culture. \nThis delicate dessert is gluten-free. Ingredients include Fresh Rice Flour\, Salt\, Water\, Honey\, Sesame Seeds\, Brown Sugar\, and Sesame Oil. \nShana Lee is a Korean American born and raised in Hawai’i. Her journey with Korean desserts began when she first tasted baekseolgi\, a fluffy and chewy steamed rice cake. She was fascinated by its delicate simplicity and unique texture. \nShana fell in love with Rice Blossoms’ unique style and modern take on rice cakes\, which wonderfully blends tradition with elegance. Discovering Korean desserts’ beauty and rich history has been a heartfelt and gratifying adventure. As part of Rice Blossoms\, she is excited to educate and share these delightful creations with the people of Hawai’i.
