DESCRIPTION:The Planning Department is continuing its public engagement program for the East Kaua‘i Community and Circulation Plan and invites community members to participate in a series of focused workshops starting in May and running through September.  \nThe East Kaua‘i Community and Circulation Plan is a long-range plan that addresses land use\, transportation\, infrastructure\, housing\, and more—while elevating community priorities such as hazards resilience and the protection of cultural and historic resources.  \nEach workshop will focus on a priority topic and include interactive opportunities for feedback. We will have some seating sections set up throughout the venue available on a first come first serve basis. \nWe will have some covered raised tables available around the perimeter of the lawned area. \n\n\n\nWhat’s not included\n\nBeverage Concessions both Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic will be available throughout the show. \nFood will be available for purchase on site. The Pavilion Kitchen is open with a full menu of hot meals and snacks. Waipā is hosting our second annual ʻĀina Festival on Saturday\, May 3rd\, from 11am to 4pm at Halulu Fishpond in Waipa\, located a half-mile past Hanalei Town. It’ll be a wonderful day of live music\, ‘ono food\, and cultural activities\, to celebrate everything ʻāina! It’ll also feature local artisans\, crafters\, hands-on keiki activities and a waterslide\, too.
