SUMMARY:Anuhea
DESCRIPTION:Anuhea – Tickets here!\nwith special guest Chad Pa \nShow Date\nSaturday\, August 2\, 2025 \nAnuhea\nAnuhea embodies the perfect blend of talent\, determination\, passion\, and Hawaiian sunshine. A singer-songwriter from Maui\, she has over 15 years of experience in the music industry\, carving out a unique space for herself by combining everything from island reggae\, acoustic soul\, pop\, and even hip-hop into a sound that is honest\, emotional\, and unmistakably her own. \nHer catalogue of self-written songs has garnered multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards\, including Female Vocalist of the Year in 2019\, and she has been featured on both Grammy-nominated and Grammy-winning albums. However\, referring to her solely as a musician does not capture her full range of talents. Anuhea is also an actor\, graphic designer\, creative director\, merch maker\, tour planner\, website builder\, content creator\, and a full-time mom. From album covers and logos to tour posters and social media visuals\, if you see something with her name on it\, there’s a good chance she created it herself. \nHer latest album\, “Lotus” commemorates 15 years since her debut and reflects the growth\, strength\, and self-discovery that come from forging one’s own path through all of life’s seasons. Anuhea skillfully balances her full-time music career with raising her son\, Ikena Jack\, who began touring with her even before he was born. Additionally\, she gives back to the community through her mental health podcast “Just Keep Jamming”\, her work with local non-profits and mentorship programs\, and her Aloha Always Foundation provides scholarships for Hawai’i students. \nWhether performing on a festival stage or jamming with keiki in a school gym\, Anuhea infuses humility\, humor\, and heart into everything she does. She is not just Hawai‘i’s sweetheart; she is a one-woman creative force with a voice\, a vision\, and a supportive community behind her. \n\n\n\nWhat’s included\n\nThis is GA standing room show. We will have some seating sections set up throughout the venue available on a first come first serve basis. \nWe will have some covered raised tables available around the perimeter of the lawned area. \n\n\n\nItinerary\n\n5:30 PM Doors Open\n6:30 PM Chad Pa\n7:30 PM Anuhea \n\n\n\nHighlights\n\nThis show is part of Anaina Hou Community Park’s “Concerts with a Cause” Series.

SUMMARY:Koloa Maoli: A road to recovery and returning home.
DESCRIPTION:The Princeville Moʻolelo free lecture series will continue on Tuesday\, July 8\, 2025\, with a special talk on the Koloa Maoli\, or Hawaiian duck (Anas wyvilliana). Once widespread across all islands\, Koloa Maoli are now only found on the islands of Kauaʻi and Niʻihau. This talk will begin with a brief overview of the Koloa Maoli\, including how its ancestors arrived in Hawai‘I\, and evolved into a unique species deeply intertwined with the islands’ ecosystems. \nThe presentation will then explore threats that have led to the species’ decline\, including habitat loss\, predation by introduced animals\, and the particularly significant threat posed by introduced mallards. The core of the presentation will focus on current conservation efforts\, highlighting an upcoming translocation project aimed at reestablishing Koloa Maoli populations on islands where they have been extirpated. These efforts\, led by dedicated conservation teams\, seek to restore Hawai‘i’s wetland ecosystems and ensure the survival of the Koloa Maoli for generations to come. The talk will conclude with ways the public can support this critical work\, from spreading awareness to engaging in community conversations about native species conservation across Hawai‘i. \nFree Lecture Series: Tuesday\, July 8\, 2025 5:00 to 6:30pm in the Princeville Community Center. The presentation will also be available via Zoom. For more information\, visit www.kauairefuges.org/princeville-moolelo.

DESCRIPTION:Pō & the 4Fathers\nThe Color of the ‘Aina Tour\nWith Special Guest Sashamon \nShow Date\nSaturday\, June 28th\, 2025 \nPō & the 4Fathers – TICKETS HERE\nA New Perspective\nPō & the 4Fathers is a unique musical experience that delivers a lyrical message that is powerful and clear with a modern Kanaka Maoli perspective. The band is deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture\, Polynesian rhythms\, and indigenous sounds\, as well as the music that has moved generations like reggae\, soul\, blues\, funk\, and hip hop. They write songs of joy\, hardship\, pain and triumph\, learned from shared experiences from the time of Pō to the present\, and into the future. \nThe New Sound\nThrough their connection with the Mana Maoli Collective the stars above Aotearoa aligned and a convergence of indigenous Hawaiian music like no other sprung up at the Pasifika Vibes Festival. Over a kanoa of ‘awa a musical bond was established. Many influences merged into a new sound\, songs were shared and written\, and a deep brotherhood was formed.
