The Kamali'i Challenge is a non-profit Keiki Fishing Tournament taking place on Saturday July 25 from 8am to 1pm at the Port Allen Small Boat Harbor. Keiki ages 3 to 15 and their families can join community members for a fun day of fishing, prizes, food and booths. Entry is free! Please join us as we nurture the grounds and plant orchids together on every first Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Lunches made by the aunties of Lawai will be served. 44th Annual Waimea Town Celebration: Hat Lei Contest

Make a lei appropriate for cowboy hats and enter 1 or 2 categories;"Most Beautiful"(use only fresh materials) and "Most Unique"(any material is acceptable). Rules are (1) 3 minutes maximum per song; (2) 1 song per entry; (3) Soloists only, no groups allowed; (4) Judged on presentation, tone, showmanship, difficulty of song and overall performance.
