Hawaiian regional cuisine is blossoming and every Wednesday the Kauai Culinary Market is hosted by The Shops at Kukui`ula in partnership with the Kauai County Farm Bureau from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the traditional pau hana (after work) style. New to the Festival this year is the Poipu Culinary Scholarship Gala, an exquisite epicurean event and benefit fundraiser for the Kauai Community College Culinary Arts Program. Funds raised at the Culinary Scholarship Gala help with the continued development of KCC’s Culinary Arts Program by providing financial assistance for students in need. The Program trains approximately 60 students a year and many of the graduates go on to find jobs in the local culinary industry.
