Waimea Town Celebration: Scotty’s Music ‘Ukulele Contest
Begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday 2/24/24 @ the Ho’olaule’a Big Stage at Old Waimea Sugar Mill. FREE to participate and new ‘ukulele awarded to winners. Pickup an entry form at Scotty’s Music (across from Walmart). Pre-register by 12:45 pm the day of the contest.
Rules are (1) 3 minutes maximum per song; (2) 1 song per entry; (3) Soloists only, no groups allowed; (4) Judged on presentation, tone, showmanship, difficulty of song and overall performance. Only ‘ukulele talent will be judged (not signing). Age groups: Up to 6th grade; 7th to 9th grade; 10th to 12th grade; and Adults.
