Event Navigation

"The Art of Kapa - A Tradition Almost Lost" is the first in a series of cultural programs featured in Kaua`i Museum's new exhibit space. The museum archives house an extensive selection of  both the Sanford Dole and the McBryde collection of kapa from the 1800’s, yet previously lacked the exhibit space to feature the pieces. These priceless items will now be on full display with an estimated four cultural practitioners to serve as educational guides for the exhibit. This is the first in a three-part series of Kaua’i Museum's Cultural Exhibit Program. Please visit www.kauaimuseum.org or contact the Kaua`i Museum at (808) 245-6931 for more information including admissions and hours of operation. Support provided by the Hawaiian Tourism Authority through the Community Enrichment Program.
