Kauai’s Local Favorites: Cooking Class

Join us at the Monkeypod Jam, Provisions Cottage for a hands-on cooking class. Our 1/3 acre homestead is located on Kauai’s sunny South Shore, just a few minutes from Koloa and Poipu.

Upon entering our homey, yet modern teaching kitchen, guests are welcomed with Hurricane Popcorn as a pupu. All ingredients, recipes and tools will be prepared so we may dive in for a few hours of culinary joy, learning, and tasting.

At the end of class, guests will enjoy a truly Kauai meal made by their own hands and with new friends. In true local style, no one leaves hungry!

This class is not a technical skills class, but focuses on the historical and cultural significance of 4 much loved dishes found at our local, corner stores.

– Somen Salad (Pescatarian/Vegetarian)
– Ahi Poke Bowls (Pescatarian, Vegetarian option available)
– Mochi (Vegetarian)

Our desire is that each guest departs with new friends, a further understanding of Hawaii’s cultures and the confidence to recreate the same dishes at their home.

Age Requirement: 10 years or older (Youth ages 10-17 must be accompanied by a registered adult)
