Hoe Down For Hope: Benefiting the American Cancer Society
Dancing in Denim and Diamonds is the theme for this year’s Hoedown for Hope. It's a reason to glitz up your western garb for a night of dancing, delicious food, great entertainment, train rides, auctions, displays and lots of fun! Featured guest entertainer is one of Hawaii's singing divas, Nohelani Cypriano, who recently won a Telly Award for CD to be released this summer, Pulelehua, My Precious Butterfly. Nohelani, who lost her mother to ovarian cancer in 2000, is a strong supporter of the American Cancer Society, and will share her stories with as guests dine and dance.
Sponsorships are available at five levels and include an invitation to a private VIP pre-party at 5:00 pm. In the true ‘hoedown’ spirit, this year’s gala will focus on the dance! There will be dancing from the get-go at 6:00 pm with free dance lessons throughout the evening. For a nominal $35 entry fee, couples can compete in the Western Dance Contest! Everyone can vote for their favorite dancers through out the evening with sweepstake tickets, available for $5.00 each. The couple with the most sweepstake tickets wins the competition and receives a trophy and the Best Hoedown Dancer prize. Proceeds from the event help to support cancer patients and their needs on Kauai.
